Ford Mach-E Paint Code Chart by Year: 2021-2026 Colors

The Ford Mach-E paint code chart below lists factory exterior colors and their two-character codes for U.S.-market Mustang Mach-E models from 2021 through 2026. Find your model year, identify the color, and compare the code with the label on your own SUV before ordering touch-up paint.

Ford changed the Mach-E color lineup several times, including during the 2021 production year. Availability also varies by trim and build date.

Before ordering touch-up paint

Find your model year in the full chart above. Match the code with the EXT PNT field on your driver-side door-jamb label. Production date, trim and fleet availability can affect which colors were offered.

Selected model-year changes only, not the complete paint list. Factory codes are for identification; these accents are decorative, not color-matching swatches.

2021 production note: This is a combined list, not ten colors that were simultaneously orderable. Ford’s April 26, 2021 Mustang Mach-E order guide identifies Dark Matter Gray and Cyber Orange as Job 2 additions, replacing Infinite Blue and Carbonized Gray for vehicles built on or after the planned July 5, 2021 changeover. Trim and production timing still matter.

Ford introduced Iced Blue Silver Metallic for 2022 and removed Iconic Silver and Carbonized Gray from that year’s order-guide lineup. The 2022 Ice White Appearance Package used Star White Metallic Tri-Coat, code AZ. Its Oxford White accents were not proof that the SUV’s body paint code was YZ.

The August 25, 2022 Ford 2023 Mustang Mach-E order guide lists Vapor Blue and Carbonized Gray as new for the 2023 model year. Dark Matter Gray and Iced Blue Silver were deleted. Cyber Orange still appears in this guide’s color table, although individual builds should be checked against the applicable order-guide revision.

Ford’s July 1, 2024 U.S. order guide identifies Grabber Yellow, Eruption Green, and Glacier Gray as new paints. Space White and Carbonized Gray were removed. Grabber Yellow availability changed during the model year, so verify the relevant production period and trim before treating it as a universal option.

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E order guide identifies Desert Sand, Molten Magenta, and Velocity Blue as new paints. Grabber Blue, Rapid Red, and Vapor Blue were deleted from the listed 2025 lineup. Although some colors carried over, their availability could still depend on trim or appearance package.

Ford’s April 1, 2026 Mustang Mach-E order guide lists Adriatic Blue, Race Red, and fleet-only Oxford White as new. It also identifies Molten Magenta and Grabber Yellow as deleted. Do not assume Oxford White was an ordinary retail choice for 2026.

For codes used on other vehicles, our Ford paint code chart by model and year provides a broader reference. The Mach-E tables above are the better starting point for this electric SUV.

Which Mach-E Colors Were Offered From 2021 to 2023

The first three model years need closer attention because Ford revised the lineup rather than keeping a fixed set of colors throughout production.

2021 First Year Colors

Early 2021 documentation included Infinite Blue AB and Carbonized Gray M7. Ford’s Job 2 change added Dark Matter Gray HY and Cyber Orange SB while deleting AB and M7. That means a color appearing in a historical 2021 database may be correct for one build period but unavailable for another.

Grabber Blue AE was also linked to specific trims in early ordering information. The safest way to identify an actual 2021 car is to check its original exterior paint label, not assume every listed shade could be ordered on Select, Premium, and GT alike.

2022 Revised Paint Lineup

The 2022 lineup retained familiar colors such as Grabber Blue AE, Star White AZ, and Rapid Red D4. Iced Blue Silver GP replaced older silver and gray choices in the published lineup.

The Ice White Appearance Package used Star White AZ body paint, even though it included Oxford White exterior accents.

2023 New Exterior Colors

Vapor Blue K1 and Carbonized Gray M7 are the key additions in the initial 2023 U.S. guide. Iced Blue Silver GP and Dark Matter Gray HY were removed. Grabber Blue AE, Rapid Red D4, Star White AZ, and Shadow Black G1 remained in the documented color table.

Later Ford guide revisions and the vehicle label take priority over generic catalogs.

What Changed in 2024 Mustang Mach-E Paint Colors

Ford’s 2024 U.S. order guide introduced three notable finishes: Grabber Yellow CB, Eruption Green Metallic FA, and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat R7. These joined carryover colors such as Grabber Blue AE, Rapid Red D4, Vapor Blue K1, Star White AZ, and Shadow Black G1.

Space White A3 and Carbonized Gray M7 were deleted from the 2024 lineup. The guide also records a production-period change in Grabber Yellow availability, including later GT availability.

Eruption Green FA and Glacier Gray R7 require different repair paint.

Which 2025 Mustang Mach-E Paint Colors Were New

The three new 2025 finishes were Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat DT, Velocity Blue Metallic E7, and Desert Sand VA. Each differs from a color deleted for that model year, so substituting an earlier blue or red code is not a reliable match.

Ford removed Grabber Blue AE, Rapid Red D4, and Vapor Blue K1 from the published 2025 palette. Star White AZ, Grabber Yellow CB, Eruption Green FA, Shadow Black G1, and Glacier Gray R7 continued.

Tinted-clearcoat DT needs a different repair system from solid G1.

What Changed for 2026 Ford Mach-E Paint Codes

The 2026 lineup added Adriatic Blue Metallic B2 and Race Red PQ, along with Oxford White YZ for fleet orders only.

Two 2025 colors, Molten Magenta DT and Grabber Yellow CB, no longer appear in Ford’s 2026 color table. Historical color databases may still display them.

The key white-paint distinction is Star White Metallic Tri-Coat AZ versus Oxford White YZ. They have different codes and finishes. For 2026, Ford specifically marks YZ as fleet only.

How to Find Your Ford Mach-E Paint Code

Ford locates the vehicle color-code sticker on the front left-hand, or driver’s-side, door jamb. Look for the manufacturer label with vehicle identification details and an exterior paint field.

Locate the Driver Door Label

  1. Park safely and open the driver’s door.
  2. Inspect the front left-hand door-jamb area for the factory certification sticker.
  3. Read the label directly, using a light if the printing is difficult to see.

Read the Exterior Paint Field

Find the EXT PNT field, where provided, and note its two-character code. A code such as AZ, G1, or R7 refers to the exterior paint. Do not confuse it with nearby interior, axle, or other identification fields.

Confirm the Factory Code

Match the code with the table for your Mustang Mach-E’s model year. If the sticker is missing or unreadable, give a Ford dealer the VIN and request the original exterior color information. The VIN characters alone are not a reliable do-it-yourself paint-code decoder.

For a closer look at certification-label positions and fields, use our Ford touch-up paint code location guide. After confirming the label, the next step is matching the repair material to the finish.

How to Match Factory Paint for Mach-E Repairs

A correct code is the starting point for matching paint, not a guarantee that every spray product will match.

  1. Verify the code on your Mach-E. Check the driver-side label and the model year, especially if the car was built during a lineup change.
  2. Identify the finish. Shadow Black G1 is a solid finish. Star White AZ and Glacier Gray R7 are tri-coat finishes. Rapid Red D4 and Molten Magenta DT are tinted-clearcoat finishes.
  3. Order by code, not screen color. A digital swatch cannot accurately reproduce metallic particles, pearlescent effects, lighting conditions, or the look of aged paint.
  4. Confirm the repair system. Ask a paint supplier or body shop to match the factory code and advise whether the repair needs multiple coats or blending into adjacent panels.

For example, a Mach-E labeled G1 uses Ford’s Shadow Black reference. Our Ford Shadow Black G1 paint code guide explains that finish in more detail without repeating the entire Mach-E year chart.

If a scratch has exposed bare metal or a damaged panel requires substantial refinishing, a professional body shop can check both the paint formulation and the surrounding panel color.

Why Do Online Mach-E Paint Charts Disagree by Year

Paint databases often collect every finish associated with a vehicle name, while Ford’s order guides describe the options available for a particular model year and order period. The two sources can answer different questions.

First, production changes matter. The 2021 Job 2 update removed some colors and added others. A complete historical 2021 list therefore contains colors that were not all available at the same time.

Second, trim and fleet rules matter. A color listed on a 2026 chart might not be a retail option. Oxford White YZ is a clear example because Ford marked it fleet only.

Third, color samples are approximate. Screen settings and lighting distort digital swatches. Use the original label and a verified paint formula.

Which Ford Mach-E Paint Code Should You Use

The correct Ford Mach-E paint code is the one assigned to your individual vehicle, confirmed on its factory label and checked against the matching model-year chart. A 2021 Mach-E can require a different lookup from a 2026 example, even when both appear to be a similar white, blue, or gray.

Start with your model year, find the exterior color in the chart, and then confirm the two-character code on the driver’s door jamb. Be particularly careful with 2021 Job 2 changes, 2025 color replacements, and the fleet-only Oxford White listing for 2026.

Before purchasing a touch-up pen, spray can, or body-shop paint, give the supplier the verified code and the exact finish name. That is the most practical way to avoid an unnecessary color-matching mistake.

What Are the Most Common Mach-E Paint Code Questions

Where Is the Paint Code on a Ford Mustang Mach-E?

The factory color code is printed on a sticker in the front left-hand, or driver’s-side, door-jamb area. Look for the exterior paint field, commonly labeled EXT PNT, and compare the code with the chart for your model year. If the label cannot be read, ask a Ford dealer to confirm the original paint using vehicle records.

What Is the Paint Code for Grabber Blue Mach-E?

AE is the Grabber Blue Metallic paint code listed for the Mustang Mach-E in the 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 U.S. order guides. Ford removed Grabber Blue from the 2025 Mach-E lineup. Check your original paint label before buying, because the same color name may be used on other Ford models or in other production periods.

Did Ford Change Mach-E Paint Colors in 2026?

Yes. Ford added Adriatic Blue Metallic B2, Race Red PQ, and fleet-only Oxford White YZ for 2026. Molten Magenta DT and Grabber Yellow CB were deleted from the published lineup. The 2026 chart also retains familiar finishes such as Star White AZ, Shadow Black G1, and Eruption Green FA.

Can I Find My Mach-E Paint Code Using the VIN?

A Ford dealer may be able to use the VIN to retrieve the vehicle’s original build or paint information, but the VIN characters themselves do not directly spell out the paint code. The easiest starting point is the factory door-jamb label. If that label is damaged, ask the dealer to confirm the original exterior color from Ford’s records.

Is Star White the Same as Oxford White on a Mach-E?

No. Star White Metallic Tri-Coat is AZ, while Oxford White is YZ. They use different factory codes and are not interchangeable touch-up finishes. Oxford White is listed as fleet only in Ford’s 2026 Mach-E order guide; our Star White AZ paint code guide explains why the two whites must be matched separately.
