2013 Ford Edge Fuse Box Diagram: Every Fuse and Relay

Your 2013 Ford Edge has two fuse boxes. The Power Distribution Box is under the hood, next to the battery. The Body Control Module fuse panel is behind a trim piece in the driver footwell, near the parking brake.

The front cigarette lighter and instrument panel power point run through fuse 27 in the Power Distribution Box. It is rated 20A, confirmed across three independent sources for the 2011-2014 Edge.

One widely cited fuse chart claims to cover every Edge from 2007 to 2015 in one table. Ford redesigned the fuse panel for the 2011 model year refresh. A 2008 or 2009 Edge owner trusting that one table will be looking in the wrong slot entirely.

Skip to what that popular chart gets wrong if that is why you are here.

Where are the fuse boxes on a 2013 Ford Edge?

Recommended Best Deal Products

Power Distribution Box. Engine compartment, under the hood, driver side, next to the battery, under a protective cover. It carries the high current fuses: the starter motor, both cooling fans, the fuel pump and the blower motor.

Body Control Module fuse panel. Passenger compartment, behind a trim panel in the driver footwell, near the parking brake. Slide the release lever, pull the trim panel away, then use the puller tool built into the cover.

Worth knowing: the box cover on your specific Edge has a label printed on the underside. Trim level, engine and options move individual fuses around in ways a generic chart cannot account for. That label is the final authority.

What a popular online chart gets wrong about this box

The Edge ran one body generation from 2007 to 2014. Most charts for this truck treat that whole span as one fuse layout. It is not.

Ford changed the Power Distribution Box numbering at the 2011 refresh. The four cigarette lighter and power point fuses moved to new slots.

Model yearsCigarette lighter / power point fusesRating
2007-2010 (pre-refresh)Fuses 17, 64, 65, 6620A each
2011-2014 (this Edge)Fuses 9, 20, 21, 2720A each
One popular chart’s claimFuses 9, 20, 21, 27 for all of 2007-201520A each

That popular chart gets the 2011-2014 numbers right, then applies them backward to 2007-2010 cars too. Pull fuse 27 on a 2009 Edge expecting the cigarette lighter, and you get a different circuit. That truck’s front power point lives at fuse 17 instead.

The mistake is quiet rather than dangerous. Nothing is unsafe about it. The reader just keeps pulling fuses that are not the one they actually need.

Every number here comes from sources that treat 2011-2014 as its own block. A 2013-specific reading of the same box confirms it.

A cheap fuse assortment kit covers both the mini and standard blade sizes in these two boxes. It costs less than a single dealer fuse and saves a second trip. Any brand meeting the ATO/ATC standard fits.

How do you tell if a fuse is actually blown?

A blown fuse shows a broken metal strip inside the clear plastic body. Pull the fuse and hold it up to a light to check.

A hairline break is easy to miss. Test continuity with a multimeter set to ohms if the strip looks intact. Near zero resistance means the fuse is good.

Never guess the replacement rating. Match the number printed on the old fuse, and cross check it against your box cover label. A higher rated fuse lets the wiring become the fuse instead, and that failure costs far more to fix.

Why does the same fuse keep blowing?

A fuse that blows once is usually a one-off surge. One that blows again within days is telling you something is wrong upstream, not asking for a bigger fuse.

Unplug whatever you most recently added. A phone charger left in a power point is a common repeat offender. So is an aftermarket amplifier wired into the audio fuses, or a dash cam on a delayed accessory feed.

Check for chafed insulation where the harness flexes, especially near the liftgate hinge and the driver door jamb.

If a fuse blows the instant you push it in, that circuit has a hard short. Stop replacing fuses and trace the wiring with a proper diagnostic tool instead of guessing. A plastic fuse puller keeps you from cracking the panel housing while you work through the circuit.

A battery that keeps going flat overnight points at a parasitic draw, not a blown fuse. Rule out a weak battery first, since it looks identical to a real draw.

Our battery guide for the 2013 Ford Edge covers what fits this engine and trim.

Does this chart work for the 2011, 2012 and 2014 Edge too?

Yes, for 2011 through 2014. A dedicated 2011-2014 source and a separate 2013-specific reading of the same box agree. Every power point fuse matches, position for position.

Not for 2007 through 2010. That earlier Edge uses a different numbering scheme entirely. The same four outlets sit at positions 17, 64, 65 and 66 instead.

See the generation comparison table above for the full picture.

Not for 2015 and later either. Ford replaced the Edge with a fully redesigned second generation for 2015, with its own separate fuse layout.

Not sure your Edge matches this exactly? Your box cover label is the final authority. The 2.0L EcoBoost four cylinder and the V6 share most positions, but differ on a few.

Those differences are noted above wherever the sources list them separately. Options like all-wheel drive, trailer tow and heated seats add fuses this guide covers. Your specific build may not use all of them.
